Mother's Day

It's so crazy to think that I'm a mother.

I know I must be since

  • I have three wonderful daughters who are growing so very big each day.
  • I stop and look at my hands which have some wrinkles and spots that were never there before.
  • I see little crinkles around the corners of my eyes when I laugh so hard I start to cry.
  • I look at my once pristine refrigerator that is now constantly covered with endless creations and notes written especially for me.
  • I am constantly picking up shoes, socks, toys, bags, and papers all over my house.
  • I bake a lot of cookies.
  • I sew an awful lot of dresses.
  • I am so filled with love and joy when I look upon these beautiful creations.

I am so thankful to the Lord to be a Mother. It is an amazing gift that I will always be thankful for.
I am also thankful for my amazing husband--I slept in today until 11:30, woke up to a cup of gourmet coffee, a beautiful rose, gorgeous earrings, and a freshly scrubbed stove! Guess which was my favorite? Yup! The stove!

Love, Rachel
